As a Construction Coordinator, you will be responsible for the deployment, execution, and closeout of our utility construction projects. This includes communication with both internal and external customers, set-up and tracking progress of projects, assembling job folders, and calling in permits, locates and mapping.

Job Duties

  • Communicates with HBI leadership, customers, and foremen on the status of projects.
  • Works with Materials Coordinator to ensure proper materials are available for the project.
  • Obtains correct permits from local municipalities.
  • Schedules locates with Digger's Hotline.
  • Responsible for the understanding and utilization of customer billing units.
  • Compiles and distributes project documents for HBI leadership and foremen including telephone prints, maps, and other instructions.
  • Informs construction crews of daily project priorities.
  • Coordinates projects in advance to ensure consistent workload for crews.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel to prepare documents and spreadsheets to organize project updates.

  • Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to multi-task and switch focus, while maintaining excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Highly organized.
  • Flexible with schedule to meet deadlines and able to work a 50-hour week.
  • Able to exercise critical thinking.
